The Bombay Municipal Corporation will renovate Parsi Gate (where community members congregate to pray during Avan mah) at Marine Drive, according to corporator Harshita Narwekar, reported The Indian Express (IE) of October 6, 2017. This is one of the projects, including the repair of the parapet of the iconic promenade, refurbishing toilets at the southern end, and restoring the fountain under the Princess Street Flyover taken up by the Corporation based on suggestions by local residents, The residents had earlier consulted architect Ratan Batliboi, who helped designing the first phase of the beautification project, said the report. On October 4, "he made the presentation on the second phase as well,” according to IE.
