All chairs were occupied, and some wheelchairs too, in The Ballroom of The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel on March 24, 2018 when friends, admirers and patients of Dr Farokh Udwadia assembled for the launch of his new book Tabiyat: Medicine and Healing in India and Other Essays. Members of the medical and legal fraternity, those in robust and indifferent health, had come to show their respect to the senior physician whose varied knowledge of philosophy, history and the arts have given him rare insights into curing ailments.
