“A story of two funerals”

It is said that the pen is mightier than the sword and Berjis Desai’s (pictured) pen is certainly that. I doubt if any other columnist could have described so vividly and in such great detail what Desai has done in "A story of two funerals” (Parsiana, May 7, 2017)!  His description was so realistic that I felt I was attending the funeral all over again of my very dearest departed son, and it brought tears to my eyes. And despite his writings over the years in favor of cremation, yet with all humility he has convincingly favored the traditional method. I fail to understand how he could be described as an "unsuccessful community activist.” PHIROZE AMROLIWALLA phirozeamroliwalla@gmail.com The editors reply He prefers to describe himself thus, not Parsiana.
