ZWAS’s dance drama

In a dance drama on the theme of saving water, 17 women from the group Zoroastrian Women’s Assembly of Surat (ZWAS) conveyed the message of water conservation in their signature style, laced with humor. Held on March 22, 2025, World Water Day, at the Science Centre Amphitheater in Surat, as part of Nayeka 4.0, ZWAS presented the impactful performance under the aegis of the Taal Group, notes an email from Nilufer Bavaadam.   Dance drama by ZWAS ladies on saving water Written by Maharukh Chichgar, with choreography by Mahazarin Variava of Stagecraft, the dance drama featured an ensemble comprising Chichgar, Perin Karanjia, Keshmira Palia, Dilnaz Besania, Variava, Binaz Mistry, Bavaadam, Nazneen Dumasia, Aaftab Jokhi, Daisy Patel, Jasmin Mandlaywala, Anaita Mistry, Piloo Bhathena and Mahtab Bhatporia, with a special appearance by Aanosh Chichgar.Their performance underlined the need to save water and protect the planet, proving that humor can be a compelling tool for social change.                                              S.
