The man who gave India an honored place in the field of global civil aviation with Air India and turned it into an iconic brand has been honored by the USA. J. R. D. Tata has been inducted in the Memorial Wall where famous aviators and astronauts are honored — the only Indian to be so recognized. Will India acknowledge him now by naming the new, under construction Bombay International Airport after him? Cannot local politics be set aside for once and a national hero honored?
