We had written to the Parsi Press about the controversial speech of Gujarat governor Acharya Devvrat at the convocation ceremony at Veer Narmad South University (Surat), disparaging the Parsis.

We received the news on the governor’s remarks that the Parsis came to India "to loot the country” from several parties, including the Traditional Zarathushtris Mailing List) all of whom were outraged at his comments. The mainstream media also reported on his comments and the Parsis’ outrage at his remarks.
