Being aware of the economic challenges faced by mobeds (priests) and widows of mobeds, 60 years of age and above, the Global Working Group (GWG) — comprising elected Zoroastrian federations, associations in countries that do not have federations and some prominent Zoroastrians — received funds for disbursement during the year 2019 from a charitable trust registered overseas, administered by the philanthropy services division of a leading international bank due to the initiative and efforts of GWG president Neville Shroff. The funds have been received by, and are disbursed, through WZO Trust Funds to beneficiaries in India.
