“We will be back”

"We are overwhelmed,” noted businesswoman and scion of poultry company Zorabian Chicken, Perizaad Zorabian Irani (pictured), in a widely circulated message to her "dear patrons” on July 26, 2021. Their facility outside Bombay was hit by heavy rains in the fourth week of July, leading to disruption of business and delays in supplies to customers. The flooding across Maharashtra, brought on by very heavy rain in late July, left over 200 people dead and many missing. Acknowledging that the patrons’ support has given the business "immense strength” to cope with the situation, Perizaad stated, "At Zorabian safety has always been and will be our topmost priority…we have always adhered to all safety protocols at our farm and processing unit.” Decrying the "false rumors being spread about our brand,” Perizaad assured her audience that "your favorite brand” will be available in a short while. Parsiana’s attempt to contact Perizaad to obtain details of the company’s bounce back were not successful. I am "extremely busy trying to get everything back on track,” she conveyed through a common contact on August 7.                                             F. J....
