The Zoroastrian Entrepreneurship Development Foundation (ZEDF) under the aegis of the World Zarathushti Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for funding a ZEDF scholar. To be eligible, one has to pursue graduate studies leading to a master’s degree with a major in entrepreneurship from a recognized accredited university.
This scholarship is open to all Zoroastrians. Only one ZEDF scholar will be selected for the academic year starting September 2022. The applicant should have received an unconditional admission offer and should work towards maximizing grants from Zoroastrian trusts and university sources which do not have to be paid back. The ZEDF will provide the balance, up to USD 30,000 (Rs 22,31,325), as an entrepreneurship development loan for tuition and living expenses.
The tuition amount would be paid directly to the university and the living costs, as determined to be reasonable, to the scholar. The ZEDF scholar will repay the loan within four years following graduation, for which a personal promissory note from the individual and guarantor would be required.
The ZEDF trustees will select the scholar based on academic achievement, work experience, volunteerism and "giving back.” The trustees’ decision will be final.
Applications should be sent to the ZEDF secretary, Pervin Taleyarkhan at pervint@gmail.com by March15, 2022. For further information, the undersigned may be contacted by email.
