Sidhva’s sterling skills

Erudite yet full of humor, nonagenarian Dr Jimmy Sidhva made a mark as a radiologist, teacher, actor and writer on religion

I first met Dr Jimmy Nadershaw Sidhva, my teacher in radiology and neuroradiology in 1959 on the first floor of the old outpatients’ department at Sir Jamsetjee Jejeebhoy Hospital (JJH). Our batch of 15 students had been asked to assemble there for our introductory class in the subject. We were ushered into a room where Sidhva sat, studying an x-ray film.
