I read "The pragmatic priest” (In Memoriam, Parsiana, May 7-20, 2025) about Mobed Mehraban Khodamorad Firouzgary. He was a friend. I met him in the early days of Parzor and later when creating Maafret, the puppet show based on the myths of creation in Zoroastrianism. Firouzgary permitted me to use his beautiful recitation of the Yatha Ahu Vairyo in the performance.

Some years ago at the international puppet festival in Iran they felicitated me with a lifetime achievement award. I requested Firouzgary to present the award and say a few words.
He was a wonderful human being and very chatty, always sharing jokes on WhatsApp.
