Two years after his memoirs Honour Bound - Adventures of an Indian Lawyer in the English Courts was published by HarperCollins, Sarosh Zaiwalla was invited to Mongolia for the launch of the book’s Mongolian edition on September 22, 2022. The event held at the University of Finance and Economics of Mongolia, one of the largest and oldest educational institutions in the country, was attended by dignitaries like former Prime Minister Rinchinnyam Amarjargal and erstwhile minister of finance Puntsag Tsagaan, noted a press release.

The 266-page memoirs have been banned in India but they continue to be read. "They are frank and fearless, replete with Indianness, and with a sense of pride at being born a Parsi Zoroastrian,” states eminent jurist Fali Nariman in the foreword. Having known Sarosh and his family well, Nariman added, "He is truly one of God’s self-made men. It is to his credit that he excelled in the profession, making known his presence to the high and mighty, not just to the legal fraternity in the UK.”
During the five days spent in Mongolia from September 21 to 25, Zaiwalla, a senior partner of the London based legal firm Zaiwalla and Company was presented a medal of honor by Mongolia’s Ministry of Law and Justice for the firm’s service to the country. The medal, conferred by Mongolia’s vice minister of justice and home affairs, Solongoo Bayarsaikhan, was in recognition of Zaiwalla and Company having successfully recovered a USD 20 million (INR 165 crores) claim for Mongolia against Kazakhstan in an English Court of Appeal hearing. Former Prime Minister Batbold Sukhbaataar appreciated the services rendered by Zaiwalla and Company at a meeting convened at Parliament Building.
Zaiwalla and his team were also privileged to enjoy a dinner hosted at the Government Palace by Deputy Prime Minister Amarsaikhan Sainbuyan. Their visit coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the mining industry in Mongolia, Zaiwalla was invited to various receptions and expositions organized by Achit Ikht LLC (Mongolia’s largest hydrometallurgical plant) and Steppe Holding (Mongolia’s largest copper producers) and introduced to the Prime Minister of Mongolia, Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene, and distinguished Ambassadors to the country.
