Hyderabad’s humbandagi

Despite the pandemic and lockdowns, a humbandagi is performed every Monday for the last 15 years, "without a break” at Hyderabad’s Maneckbai N. Chenoy Agiary, noted Ervad Kerfegar Antia. After the pandemic-imposed restrictions came into force, prayers were held over Zoom, coordinated by colony resident Fram Desai. With meeting norms relaxed, the group restarted live prayers at the fire temple in December 2020. Head priest Ervad Mehernosh Bharucha leads the prayers.  After the community prayers on February 22, 2021, Bharucha spoke on the teachings of Zarathushtra. Members participated in a quiz on famous Zoroastrian personalities and saints, conducted by Farida Antia.
