Yoga at heritage sites

The Navsari Municipal Corporation (NMC) celebrated the 11th International World Yoga Day-2025 on June 20, 2025 by organizing yoga camps at important heritage sites in the city, including several Parsi heritage properties, museums and birthplaces of notables in Navsari, mentions an email received from Ruzbeh Umrigar on behalf of the Parsi Cultural Division of Navsari’s S. B. Garda College Trust.

The Yog-Shibir was conducted at the Sir Cawasji Jehangir Zoroastrian Madrasa School, Tata Boys School, Jamsetji Tata’s birthplace in Dasturwad, Seth Rustomjee Jejeebhoy High School, Sir Jamsetji Jejeebhoy 1st Baronet Museum at Vatcha Mohalla, Scout and Guide Headquarters funded by Parsi Choksi of old Gaekwadi in Navsari, Lunsikui Ground (donated by Parsi patron Seth Seervai). 
The NMC commissioner Dev Chaudhary of the Indian Administrative Service signed a memorandum of understanding with the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) committed to conserve and revive heritage of Navsari. Regular heritage walks and tours will be started under this initiative, the initial stepping stones for which were laid years back by Parzor Foundation’s Dr Shernaz Cama.
