Hyderabad gets together

"This was the fifth year in succession that the residents of the Bai Maneckbai N. Chenoy Fire Temple Colony in Hyderabad set up a Navroz table at the Agiary hall on March 20, 2018,”  community member Kerfegar Antia informed Parsiana. The decoration of the table was the brainchild of Kerfergar and his wife Farida, who gave it a final shape along with other ladies of the Colony. A note from Russi Doctor, secretary and treasurer of the Fire Temple Endowment Trust detailed that the night’s program commenced with subsidized dinner catered by Abad Wadia. Post dinner, the gathering heard monajats from community members, followed by a community prayer led by head priest Ervad Mehernosh Bharucha who also gave a talk on the significance of Navroz. Farida’s talk on the life of King Jamshed brought an end to the evening, with Mahrukh Tarapore offering the vote of thanks. The short function ended with the singing of Chhaiyé Hamé Zarthoshti and the partaking of falooda prepared by Heera and Vispy Saher.              Hyderabad celebrates Navroz: Bonding at the table: fifth year in succession ...
