"Have you ever uttered the words ‘I’m good’ or ‘I’m alright’ despite knowing that you’re not and that you need time to heal?” asks musician Yohan Marshall (pictured). "Whether it be in the aftermath of a relationship or facing a challenging experience we find it easier to pretend as though we’re alright rather than address the state we’re in,” says the 31-year-old whose fourth single Act 
Like reflects upon a love lost, while finding resilience and gratitude again after heartbreak. "Act Like catches you in that lie and acts as a friend to those who have experienced this feeling,” Marshall told Parsiana on October 6, 2021.
"As a songwriter I have to be sensitive to my vulnerabilities,” he stated. The end of a relationship spurred Marshall to write the song. His favorite lines from the number are: "Come what may, I won’t fall, I am complete” and "Tried to change ’cuz I just want you to like me... But I lost myself in doing so.”
The Bombay musician founded Marshall and the Mischief, a four-member live band in 2014. During the lockdown, they conducted online events to raise funds for Saath, an Ahmedabad-based suicide prevention helpline that his mother Nishmin headed. Marshall’s music school, Counter Point Music, at Bombay’s Napean Sea Road coaches vocalists, drummers and instrumentalists.
He is now experimenting with a new avatar, Yoda Drunk, for his solo performances. "There is a five-city tour for Yoda Drunk covering Bombay, Poona, Hyderabad, Madras and Bangalore in November,” he informed us. The musician is excited about a forthcoming tour later this year with songstress Manasi Scott where he will play the drums.
