Community prayers

The humbandagi session on February 14, 2022 at the Bai Maneckbai N. Chenoy Agiary, Hyderabad, marked the completion of 16 years of community prayers continuously held each Monday. "Even during the lockdown, the group continued to hold the prayers online thanks to the (technical) efforts of our Faram Desai… This continues even now, watched by several people, in India and abroad although physical presence has commenced,” wrote community member Kerfegar Antia. A thought-provoking poem Parsijio composed by Cyrus Tarapore stressed the need to revive Zoroastrianism, noted Antia. A game on Zoroastrianism conducted by Farida Antia followed. The prayer session is led by Ervad Mehernosh Bharucha, and is generally followed by a short talk on a religious topic. In his vote of thanks, Kerfegar appreciated Bharucha’s efforts and that of Farida’s. Snacks arranged by Tarapore followed the singing of Chhaiyé Hamé Zarthoshti.                                            F. J.       Devotees at the weekly humbandagi at Bai Maneckbai N.
