Happy Navroz

After being/ "Well rested”/ As well as/ A sound/ "Good night sleep”/ Feeling well rested/ The golden rays/ Of the sun slowly/ Creep over the horizon/ Slowly begin to streak. Navroz means a new day/ Washing all the doom/ And the gloom away/ It’s time for rejuvenation/ As well as renovation/ Just like the sweet/ Scented aroma/ Of roses filling the room. If one is a Zoroastrian/ Which many claim to be/ Acceptance, tolerance/ Respect, humility/ Treating people with/ Equality as well as dignity/ Should be one’s priority/ Especially the women of/ Our community/ No matter what their status be. Being a Zoroastrian doesn’t/ Mean fast track to heaven/ And front row seats./ All depends on the type/ Of life one has led/ According to/ Good thoughts, good words/ Good deeds.                  FARIDA BAM Canada faridabam@gmail.com  ...
