The responses of Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) chairman Viraf Mehta and former chairwoman Armaity Tirandaz to my letter "An unethical swap?” about how Mehta became chairman (Readers’ Forum, Parsiana, March 21-April 6, 2024), are disappointing.
Mehta should note that my letter carried voices of dissension from not one but at least four Parsi activists with different backgrounds. Other notes of dissent have been recorded on social media as well.
Both the current chairman and the former chairwoman mention that the BPP board of trustees is working harmoniously despite the swap. It’s a pity that the moral and ethical ramifications have been ignored completely by both these trustees. T. B. ADENWALLA
