Counsel Farhan Dubash, honorary secretary of the Bombay Bar Association, was sworn in as a judge of the Bombay High Court on September 2, 2025 by acting Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar who himself took his oath as the new Chief Justice two days later. Dubash is one of 14 advocates elevated to the bench after the Supreme Court collegium recommended their appointment on August 19. With these new additions, the strength of Bombay High Court judges now stands at 82, 12 less than the sanctioned strength of 94.
