Across the world, for two years, businesses and corporations, irrespective of size and clientele profile, have been reacting to the Covid-19 pandemic in many ways. A basic reaction has been to cut back their services, and often lay off the lowest paid workers using the pandemic as a reason… or shall I daresay, excuse! I live in the United States and during the past couple of months I have witnessed and been affected by such "business policies” in hotels. During brief one-week stays in Pasadena and Monterey, the four star business hotels we stayed in had truncated their services. They replaced breakfasts......
