Before a crowd of nearly 33,000 spectators who had gathered at the Wankhede Stadium to witness the World Cup semifinals being played between India and New Zealand on November 15, 2023, Diana Edulji was honored as the first Indian woman cricketer to be inducted to the ICC (International Cricket Council) Hall of Fame. On being presented the Hall of Fame cap by legendary West Indies cricketer Sir Vivian Richards, Edulji declared, "It is an absolutely great honor to be here, to be felicitated by the ICC (the global governing body for international cricket) on my home ground.” She further thanked......
