Milestones

The age of Zoroastrian brides (as listed in this issue) ranged between 38 and 39 years, the arithmetic mean (the total number of individual ages divided by the total number of brides) being 38 years. The corresponding figures for the grooms were 35 and 38 years, averaging at 36 years.  The community witnessed only four births as versus 65 deaths in the month of August 2004. Twelve of the 19 Zoroastrians who died due to heart related diseases were 80+. The other killers were pneumonia/lung disease (eight), cancer and hypertenstion (seven each), brain disease (four), urinary tract infection and kidney failure......
