A library is being set up in Calcutta by me, under the auspices of the D. D. Kosambi Research Foundation, a non-profit trust to further research and study varied aspects of society. Any books donated for the library would be appreciated. The books preferred are non-fiction on history, economics, social issues, science, technology focusing most on students, youth, and research scholars. The library will be located at Calcutta/Howrah in the house of my Bengali publishers, Bonhihotri Hazra, 45/A, Baje Shibpur Road, Howrah 711102.
D. D. Kosambi
Prof Kosambi (July 31, 1907- June 29, 1966) was a brilliant polymath who taught mathematics at Poona’s Ferguson College for 15 years and later at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.
