Vote sincerely

The talk of having uncontested trusteeship elections to the Bombay Parsi Punchayet emanates largely from vested interests who wish to bring in their own candidates to create a majority on the board. All candidates must pledge in black and white to protect, preserve and carry forward our forefathers’ dreams which were left in our hands when they crossed the bar. My suggestions are that voters read the manifestos minutely; confront candidates when they come to them for votes with why they wish to become trustees; do not fall prey to suggestions from the Parsi Press; arrive at your own judgment about the candidates; go and vote only if you are sure your vote will not go waste or will help elect a puppet to our august institution; do not believe the kingmakers as they have their own agenda in promoting a particular candidate.  Please vote sincerely.                                Dr SYRUS D.
