Seeing the photo of Shireen Virjee on the cover of your magazine ("Carving out memories,” Parsiana, May 7-20, 2019) brought back such good memories of her.
She was married to my father Firoze Lilaoowala’s cousin Jassie Lilaoowalla. The first time I met her was on her wedding day. Jassie Uncle had lifted her up in his arms. All the guests were astonished, but we could see the two were very much in love.
They used to come and meet us and I came to know her better. She was kind and loving and would always converse with me as if I was an adult, not a teenager.Thank you for the excellent article on her.
