As important as a healthy body is an active brain in the challenging coronavirus days, believes retired research virologist and author of books on cricket Kersi Meher-Homji (pictured) of Sydney (virology is the branch of science dealing with viruses and viral diseases). On the trigger of Parsiana subscriber Niloufer Elavia who urged the magazine to carry brain teasers, Meher-Homji has come forward with anagrams where the letters in a word or phrase can be rearranged to arrive at a Parsi name or surname (e.g. Laid becomes Adil). He continues: 1. My friend loves to roll in soil. 2. Dial me to get a Parsi name. 3. Don’t fail to ring me, my friend. 4. I know a spy. 5. A ban has been lifted from this Parsi lady. 6. Don’t be afraid of this helpful, pretty lady. 7. He makes a din when reading Bernard Shaw. 8. My Parsi friend likes to add r to soup. 9. A village chief and a magazine editor believe in a staple diet. Added to these are a couple of cryptic clues: 10. Parsis are the elite top of the pile (5,5) 11.
