IGCSE topper

Zeshan Jokhi (pictured) of The Winchester School in Dubai emerged a topper at the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) Year 11 examination for the academic year 2017-18, scoring four A+ and four As, according to the certificate presented to him in November 2018. Preparing for these exams for the last two years, besides attending regular school and participating in classroom activity for seven hours, he would devote nearly three hours on home learning and an additional two hours solving question papers of the past 10 years that helped him succeed. "Apart from his own efforts, his mother Dilshad was 24x7 with him to ensure his day-to-day needs were fulfilled, keep him motivated, keep him on his toes and moderate his activities from time to time,” noted his father Yashan. For recreation he would interact with his friends virtually over computer games or outdoor play. Currently studying for the AS level from Winchester, his major subjects are physics, biology, chemistry and mathematics. After completing his A level examinations he plans to study physics extensively, specializing in nuclear, atomic and related fields. ...
