The Lions Club of Byculla, District 3231-A1 donated medicines worth Rs 80,000 to the M. C. Damanwalla Charitable Dispensary in Udvada on March 15, 2020. Members of the Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association (IDMA) who donated the medicines were Alkem Laboratories Limited, Cachet Pharmaceuticals Private Limited, Centaur Pharmaceuticals Limited and Corona Remedies Private Limited.

The Dispensary aims at helping and treating the poor and needy patients, villagers and Adivasis who live in and around Udvada and supplies free medicines to them. It caters to approximately 60 to 70 patients every day in and around the village. The Dispensary is run entirely on donations and the trustees’ daily contribution.
