Noria told Parsiana on July 24 that "for the first time in the history of this legacy school, an alumnus is the president.” Out of the many chief executive officers of Indian origin of worldwide companies, three are from HPS, he stated, listing Satya Nadella (Microsoft), Shantanu Narayen (Adobe) and Ajay Banga (World Bank). "As president, I am actively involved in the day-to-day operations, ably supported by a board… There are big plans (for new infrastructure for the School) and (architect) Hafeez Contractor is an integral part of this initiative.” Noria stated that "HPS builds leaders and believes in inclusivity, critical thinking and celebrates diversity.”
At the event, the School bestowed various leadership positions on deserving students, including the student council, house captains, prefects and other roles. "These positions empower students to lead by example, represent their peers, and contribute positively to the School community,” stated the press note. Others present on the occasion included R. Raghuram Reddy, vice chairman of HPS’s board of governors and British deputy high commissioner Gareth Wynn Owen.
Established 100 years ago, HPS "provide(s) an ecosystem for all-round development… With a 120-acre campus, state-of-the-art laboratories, naturally ventilated classrooms, unparalleled sports infrastructure... students, both day and boarders, have access to the best of facilities and teaching staff,” states their website. The School mascot, Shaheen, an eagle, "is a reflection of the institute’s philosophy to always conduct oneself with dignity and respect and yet soar above the rest.”
