The potential health hazard caused by sewage water seeping into certain areas of Dadysett Agiary at Flora Fountain, possibly on account of the work for the underground Metro rail lines, has been averted, albeit temporarily, noted Behram Ardeshir, trustee of the Dadysett Charity Trust that manages the fire temple. "Thanks to all the efforts of our administration head Armin Kermani, the Bombay Municipal Corporation (BMC) took action and cleared up and cleaned the front and rear drains and portions of the property from the outside,” he told Parsiana on July 19, 2023.

The Free Press Journal of July 17 had reported that though the problem has persisted since February, "it has aggravated in the past two weeks… The entrance to the fire temple has become inaccessible as dirty water accumulates before the steps, near the wash area, passage and the holy well from which water is drawn for rituals.” An unnamed trustee was quoted in the report as stating, "We complain to the BMC, its staff would come, do some work and the problem would get solved, but for time being.” Parsiana had not noticed any water seepage when we last visited (see "Doing up Dadysett,” Parsiana, July 21-August 6, 2023).
Ardeshir stated that the BMC has "warned that this could recur as the root cause hasn’t been identified nor addressed… Our wonderful staff and helpers cleaned the inside of all the filth that had come in… These are the behind-the-scenes people that do all the dirty work and get no praise,” he noted.
