The "live" Parsi New Year celebrations (August 16, 2022) organized by the Nagpur Parsi Panchayat, after the two-year pandemic induced lull "seemed like a dream come true," noted Khurshid Dalal, editor of bawabuzz, the Nagpur Parsi Gymkhana’s (NPG) newsletter. The jashan led by Ervad Percy Panthaki, the head priest at their Hirabai Mullan Dar-e-Mehr "was conducted by all the mobeds of the city," she noted. This was followed by sumptuous snacks served at the Dharamshala. "With loud cheer and good wishes being heard all around, it was indeed a very good beginning of the year… credit to Navroze and Shernaz Daver for organizing this event year after year, and their band of volunteers," stated Dalal.
Khordad Sal (August 21) saw "a successful celebration" with 235 people attending a community dinner at the NPG. The music was sponsored by immediate past president of NPG, Shiraz Doongaji, noted Dalal.
