Bana felicitated

President and country representative of the Anthroposophical Society in India, Aban Bana of Bombay attended the annual general meeting of the International Anthro­posophi­cal Society held at the Society’s headquarters in Dornach, Switzerland on March 31, 2012 where she was felicitated on her election as president last year. The Indian chapter was founded in Hydera­bad on October 21, 2011 with a seven-member executive committee, her brother Sarosh Bana informed Parsiana via the e-mail. According to Aban, Dr Rudolf Steiner’s anthroposophy is "very similar to Zoroastrianism, especially in view of the threefold aspect of the human being which is given great significance in the development of our earthly life.” Aban Bana: working for anthroposophy The meeting in Dornach was attended by members of the Society from across the world and Aban, as the representative from India, received an ovation when she addressed the members in the Big Hall of the Goetheanum there. A Waldorf teacher and eurythmist, Aban has been working for anthroposophy in India for the past two decades, having received her training at the Goetheanum in the early 1970s. She is the co-founder of several Waldorf/Rudolf Steiner schools in India and one in London, the e-mail mentions....
