Teaching and treating

Mahanaaz Bomanjee uses rhythm and songs to aid many people, especially senior citizens, in dealing with depression. She has written a book, Music Ameliorates the Academic Performance, specifying her appraoch in her online and offline classes, notes copywriter-turned-teacher Pinky Mistry in an email sent to Parsiana. Bomanjee’s music therapy involves karaoke evenings with foot-tapping numbers and a few surprises thrown in. These sing-along programs titled "Meri Awaaz Sunno” are usually held at large stadiums and attended by Bollywood choreographers, head honchos of acting academies and the like, states Mistry.

Bomanjee, is also a French and psychology teacher who has run Bomanjee Tutorials for over two decades, helping students who are academically weak. Some of her students have become confident enough to attempt the complex Diploma in French Language (DELF). Her unstinting efforts earned Bomanjee Tutorials the Best Coaching Class Award by Star Education Awards and last year she was felicitated as the Most Profound French Language Teacher and Memory Trainer in the city of Mumbai by National Fame Awards. Bomanjee has now embarked on a book, Parlons en Français, to make learning the French language easier for beginners through songs.
Learning how to harness the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda, she began to make chemical-free lotions and potions, notes the email. This resulted in the creation of the D J Naturals range with zero-chemical soaps (which when used daily work like a facial); GoPain Balm, Kesh Kadha Hair oil and more. Recently senior citizen Armaity Mistry bought a palm-sized bottle of oil from Bomanjee to relieve her chronic knee pain and found relief, Mistry states.
