"What started as a spontaneous afternoon of sketching has led to international recognition,” wrote Ayesha Soonawalla in an email to Parsiana. Last summer, while visiting New York, she set up her sketchbook at the iconic Guggenheim Museum — first inside, drawing its spiraling, light-filled galleries, and then outside, capturing its world-famous curves, she shared. She later posted the drawings on her Instagram account, @ayesonart, tagging the Museum and moving on, not expecting what would come next, notes her email.

"Six months later, in a twist that feels straight out of an artist’s dream, the Guggenheim team stumbled upon her illustrations organically. So impressed were they by her perspective and detail that they reached out to feature her work across the Museum’s Instagram and Facebook platforms as part of their prestigious #FrankLloydWrightFridays series, which celebrates the architect’s masterpieces through art and design,” reads the email.
Soonawalla’s sketches are now available on the Guggenheim’s digital stage, viewed by art lovers worldwide. Her story is "a reminder of the serendipity of art — how a simple act of creation, shared authentically, can travel further than imagined.”
