A jashan was performed at the annual day and prize distribution function of The Bombay Parsee Association (BPA) on November 17 at Cama Baug, followed by a humbandagi by young ervads of the Dadar Athornan and Cama Madressas. President Vispi Dastur welcomed chief guest Diana Marfatia, principal of the Byramjee Jejeebhoy Parsee Charitable Institution. In her address, Marfatia advised the youth on how to achieve success in life and exhorted them to follow the tenets of our ancient religion, as per the press release.

Achievement awards, sponsored by Shahroukh Kathawalla, were presented to winners Baji Bharucha, Firdosh Shroff, Navaz T. Kotwal (represented by father Tehmurasp), Zerick Dastur and Zubin Bamji. After a vote of thanks by Aloo Shroff, the audience joined the Avabai Petit School students in singing Chhaiyé Hamé Zarthosti and the national anthem.
